Transition Forest Fields and Area

Two challenges facing humankind are Climate Change and Peak Oil.  Add to this the fact we live in an unequal, isolating society. By coming together as a community we can begin to fix both these problems.

Transition Nottingham has local area groups because we need to act very locally as well as citywide, nationally and globally.  Transition Forest Fields and Area is one such group.  There are also groups focusing on topics such as energy descent and food production.

Transition Initiatives

Transition Initiatives focus on education and designing solutions, as well as the emotional impact of climate change.  One example is writing an Energy Descent Action Plan (EDAP) looking at where energy is used and how to reduce it.
