Transition Nottingham news
The last openspace meeting was on the 6th June.
*The openspace meetings are open to anyone with an interest in Transition Nottingham.
*Their format encourages everyone to get involved.
Four important issues that were raised are as follows:-
Transition Nottingham’s Structure
The organisation needed to evolve to support the success so far and build for the future. A support group is being setup to include roles Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Communications, Events Co-ordinator, Local groups Co-ordinator, Training Co-ordinator, Topic Groups Co-ordinator.

Energy Descent Action Plan (EDAP)
The Energy Descent Action Plan could work by firstly measuring all the energy used in all parts of life in Nottingham. Then systematically plan how to reduce the energy used. An EDAP is a way to think ahead, to plan in an integrated, multidisciplinary way, to provide direction to local government, groups and individuals with an interest in making the place they live into a vibrant and viable community in a post-carbon era.

The Copenhagen Climate Summit in December
What actions are happening around the Copenhagen Climate Summit. The Summit is the follow up to the Kyoto Summit . This time governments need to actually take action.
